Mr. Ram Moorat Singh

Senior Geologist | M.Sc. Applied Geology

Mr. Ram Moorat Singh is an accomplished Geologist with over eight years of professional experience in geological exploration, GIS, remote sensing, and mining regulatory compliance. He holds a Master’s degree in Applied Geology and has consistently demonstrated strong academic performance and technical expertise across multiple domains, including Glaciology, Geology, Hydrology, Remote Sensing, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

He has served as a Researcher at prestigious institutions such as the National Institute of Technology Raipur and the Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology, contributing significantly to advanced geoscientific research. Mr. Singh has authored and co-authored several research papers published in reputed national and international journals.

Mr. Singh possesses strong technical proficiency in leading GIS and remote sensing software, including ArcGIS, QGIS, ENVI, ERDAS Imagine, and COSI-CORR. His expertise includes geological mapping, survey execution, spatial data analysis, and the implementation of Remote Sensing/GIS-based projects.

Since January 2021, he has been actively involved in geological and mining consultancy roles across government agencies and private organizations. His professional portfolio includes preparation of Mining Plans, Environmental Clearance (EC) documentation, CGWB compliance reports, and comprehensive geological Mapping and environmental data analysis using modern geospatial tools.

He is a Life Member of the Indian Society of Remote Sensing (Membership No. L-4681) and Vigyan Bharti. In addition to his research publications, he has successfully contributed to several ISRO- and DST-sponsored projects.

In 2016, Mr. Singh was honored with the Best Paper Presentation Award (Student Category) by the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing in recognition of his academic excellence and research contribution.
